Google just launched Google Docs and Sheets app for iOS, these two apps allow you to add / view / manage and edit your Google Docs and Sheets.

Google Docs

Both apps are universal, which mean that you can take advantage of the big screen of the iPad to create documents and collaborate on them with friends, and view them on the go with your iPhone.

Google Sheets

These two apps came after Microsoft recently launched its own Office apps for the iPad that include Word / Excel / PowerPoint.

It feels like there’s a lot of heat on the productivity market between Apple, Google, Microsoft.

Why Apple? Because Apple also recently at iPhone’s 2013 Event announced that iWork (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote) for iOS will be free for everyone who buy a new iPhone.

So yup, it seems everybody now is heading for this market with a free version of their productivity suite…oh expect for Microsoft because in order to use Office for iPad, you need an Office 365 subscription which cost $6.99/month (or $69.99 a year).
