Discontinued, that’s what you will see upon visiting the Vemedio website, the company behind the podcast app Instacast.

9to5mac report that an email was sent to all Instacast premium members telling them that the app has been continued.

Martin Hering the founder of Vemedio and developer of Instacast has said in the email that the reason being is that he ran out of money, but the servers will continue to run for people who still use the app for as long as possible.

This is really sad news because Instacast is one of the few good-looking podcast app on both iOS and Mac.

I hope that this announcement could make another developer step up and purchase or fund Hering since that what’s been happening lately.

Like in the case of Marco Arment’s app Bugshot which now is called Pinpoint after the guys over at Lickability bought it from him.

And Jared Sinclair Unread app which was also bought by Supertop, the creator of both Castro Podcast app, and Token.
